The American Liberty high relief gold union is a one-ounce gold commemorative bullion coin issued by the United States Mint in 2015 and 2019. This coin was the first gold 100 dollar coin to be issued by the US Mint.
The first high relief union was issued in 2015, struck on a 1 oz. 24 karat gold planchet. Many obverse and reverse designs were submitted to the US Mint via the Artistic Infusion Program. The United States Commission of Fine Arts reviewed the designs and made recommendations. 50,000 of these coins were authorized.
A 2019 high relief union is listed in the US Mint's 2019 product schedule. Like the 2015 coin, many designs were submitted, some being resubmissions of designs for the 2015 coin and the 2017 American Liberty 225th Anniversary coin.
