The East Bay Innovation Academy, or EBIA for short, is a public charter high school and a middle school in Oakland, California within the Oakland Unified School District. .[1] The school was founded on October 24, 2013 and opened on August 10, 2014 by Rochelle Benning and Laurie Jones.[2][3] It is notable for merging progressive ideals like project-based learning with schooling.

East Bay Innovation Academy has around 420 students. 39% of these students are white, 22% of students are hispanic, 15% of students are black, 14% of students are two or more races, and the remaining 10% is other.[4] These statistics are less diverse than average OUSD diversity statistics.
