Concert band

A concert band, also called wind ensemble, symphonic band, wind symphony, wind orchestra, wind band, symphonic winds, symphony band, or symphonic wind ensemble, is a performing ensemble consisting of members of the woodwind, brass, and percussion families of instruments, and occasionally including the double bass or bass guitar. On rare occasions, additional non-traditional instruments may be added to such ensembles such as piano, harp, synthesizer, or electric guitar.
Michael Daugherty

Michael Kevin Daugherty is an American composer, pianist, and teacher. He is influenced by popular culture, Romanticism, and Postmodernism. Daugherty's notable works include his Superman comic book-inspired Metropolis Symphony for Orchestra (1988–93), Dead Elvis for Solo Bassoon and Chamber Ensemble (1993), Jackie O (1997), Niagara Falls for Symphonic Band (1997), UFO for Solo Percussion and Orchestra (1999) and for Symphonic Band (2000), Bells for Stokowski from Philadelphia Stories for Orchestra (2001) and for Symphonic Band (2002), Fire and Blood for Solo Violin and Orchestra (2003) inspired by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, Time Machine for Three Conductors and Orchestra (2003), Ghost Ranch for Orchestra (2005), Deus ex Machina for Piano and Orchestra (2007), Labyrinth of Love for Soprano and Chamber Winds (2012), American Gothic for Orchestra (2013), and Tales of Hemingway for Cello and Orchestra (2015). Daugherty has been described by The Times (London) as "a master icon maker" with a "maverick imagination, fearless structural sense and meticulous ear."
George N. Parks

George N Parks was the director of the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band at University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1977 until 2010. He also led the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy, a summer workshop program for high school drum majors that he founded in 1978.
Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps

The Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps was an American Drum Corps International World Class drum and bugle corps. Founded in 1998 and based in Jacksonville, Florida, the corps was the only World Class corps in the state of Florida until going inactive in 2012.
Marian University Marching Band

The Marian University Marching Band, is the official marching band of Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. The marching band is the largest student organization on campus and the university's largest for-credit course. Under the leadership of Dr. Sid Hearn, the Marian University Marching Band took the field for the first time on September 19, 2009.
Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps

The Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps is a competitive junior drum and bugle corps. Based in the Inland Empire of Southern California, the unit performed as City Sound Drum & Bugle Corps in Drum Corps International (DCI) competitions as an Open Class corps 2010–14. Reorganized as Vessel Drum & Bugle Corps, the group returned to competition in 2018.
Coastal Surge Drum and Bugle Corps

The Coastal Surge Drum and Bugle Corps was an Open Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps. Based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Coastal Surge performed in Drum Corps International (DCI) competitions.
Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps

The Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps was an Open Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps from 1955 to 1994. Based in Hutchinson, Kansas and later in DeSoto, Texas, the Sky Ryders was a member corps of Drum Corps International and a six time DCI World Championship Finalist.
River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps

The River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps is an Open Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps. Based in Anoka, Minnesota, River City Rhythm perform in Drum Corps International (DCI) competitions.
